I began having face and arm numbness and pain in my 30’s. After visits to a neurologist and a MRI, I was told the likely cause was a car accident I was in when I was 16 which left me with compressed disks in my neck. When my symptoms didn’t get better after several months of physical therapy, I was told that there was medication I could take to stop the numbness and pain. Not wanting to be on medication, I thought I’d give chiropractic a try. They discovered that much of my numbness from TMJ, which was corrected with an activator tool. I still have maintenance chiropractic care and have had relief from my neck pain, along with hip and lower back pain. I always wonder if I woundn’t have had these issues if I would have had chiropractic care after my accident. I tell everyone to be sure and see a chiropractor after any accident!
